This versatile not-so-basic basic is an incredibly effortless make and has only two pattern pieces (perfect for the sewist who enjoys a quick and snappy afternoon project!).

The Boleyn Top has two versions: A basic one piece bodice, or a two piece bodice designed for some fun colour blocking!

Sewing Level: Beginner - Intermediate

Size Range: 0 - 26

Notions needed: Fabric, matching thread, 1/4” or 3/8” wide elastic, ball point needle, cording (optional) and a sewing machine equipped with a zig zag stitch, stretch stitch or a serger.

Suggested fabrics: Ideal for light/medium weight knits with at least 40% stretch. Fabric should have a high recovery. Examples: Jersey, Ponte De Roma, velour, crepe knit, ribbed knit, cotton spandex knit, stretch mesh etc.
